Congratulations to our recent Sportsman and Sportswoman of the month – Jared Thompson and Caragh Haspel.
Fourth Year student, Jared, has lead the U15A Rugby team superbly, says Mr Kench, Director of Sport: “Despite some difficult games, he has taken the proactive approach of organising extra Strength & Conditioning and morning training sessions. He has also backed this up with some fantastic performances.” In Water Polo, Jared is currently playing for the England 2006 Water Polo Squad, as well as for the Trinity U15, U16 and Senior Water Polo teams.
Meanwhile Caragh, in the Lower Sixth form, has enjoyed a superb start to her Trinity sports career. Mr Kench says: “Caragh has been a standout performer for the Girls’ Hockey team and has been playing in the Indoor programme alongside the boys. In her Hockey outside of school she plays in the adult league for Surbiton 2nd XI and is currently in the Performance Centre with upcoming England trials. Away from Hockey, Caragh has shown the same enthusiasm training and playing for the 1st VII Netball team and engaging in various other sports on offer.”
