They’ve done it again. The U15s have triumphed in their second Sevens tournament in less than a week; this time at the inaugural London Oratory Trailfinders U15 Sevens Tournament in Ealing.

Their coach Mr Beresford-Miller reports back: “We were a bit worried that the team might be tired after the Surrey 7s last week, but even if they were, it didn’t show. They were incredible, despite being in a really tricky group with teams including Bedford, Seaford and London Oratory.

“We played Brighton in the quarter-final and won on a golden point in extra time. We then played KCS Wimbledon in the semi-final, beat them by a score and faced John Fisher in the final…winning 26-19.

“All of the boys were brilliant all day, I couldn’t fault them. There were a couple of standout moments: Bodie scored a couple of crucial tries, including the golden point win against Brighton and Huey was destructive all day, scoring loads of tries including at least one in the final. They all played their part and were brilliant. Two tournament wins in a week! We’re all really chuffed for them and are looking forward to our final tournament in a couple of weeks.”

The students have been working really hard on their strength and conditioning all season, and their efforts are paying off. They won the Surrey 7s last Thursday and are looking forward to the final tournament – the John Pieroni U15 Sevens – on 15 March. We wish them all the best!

All the matches were filmed, and you can rewatch on Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club YouTube Channel here.
