Congratulations to Fourth Year Students Raghav, Kavish and Ansh, who were all part of the winning U14 Surrey team, at the ECB Boys U14 County Cup Final.
The ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board Cup) is the pinnacle of U14 County Cricket, serving as the premier National Cricket Competition at this age group. Being selected to represent Surrey is an honour, and all three boys played with exceptional confidence and determination, acting as key assets in Surrey’s success.
Reflecting on the final, Raghav (Hayes Cricket Club, and Trinity 1st XI) highlighted a key moment in the game:
“A key moment that will stick with me is getting the first wicket in the final, as it gave us the momentum we needed to keep on going as we got off to a good start. It feels great to have won the final as all the hard work we put in as a team in the winter before and during the season paid off”
Ansh, (Croydon Cricket Club and Trinity 1st XI) credited Trinity’s cricket programme to his improvements:
“I find Cricket at Trinity very helpful for developing my skills especially in terms of the level of support and coaching we receive on a 1-1 level which I am very thankful for.”
Kavish, (Spencer Cricket Club and Trinity Cricket) commented on the win, adding:
“I felt extremely happy to win the cup as all the hard work the team and the coaches put in throughout the winter and during the summer finally paid off as we were able to get over the line and win”
Well done to all three students for their excellent work, we can’t wait to hear about next summer’s successes!
