Our 1st XI were victorious this week at our annual fixture against the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Our 1st XI bowled and fielded the best they have all term, restricting the MCC to 109ao, with Joe Cotton (2-8) and Marlowe Cadiz (3-20) the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, we got off to a flyer thanks to Finn Harris (28) and, with other contributions from the rest of the order, it was left for the ‘Spirit of Cricket’ award winner Alex Connaghton to hit two enormous sixes to win the game, our first win for a considerable amount of time.
Players and parents, past and present, came to Trinity to watch the thrilling match. Thank you to all those that took part, attended and contributed to making this such a successful day of cricket!
