Looking back over a great term of rugby, we celebrate a highlight of the season:

During half term, we took a team of twenty Third and Fourth Year students to compete in the U15 competition of the St Joseph’s Rugby Festival.

The team played brilliantly throughout the tournament, showcasing determination, skill, and teamwork across two exciting days and only losing once to eventual winners Northampton Boys. That initial defeat on Day 1 placed the boys in the Plate competition on Day 2, where they bounced back with resilience and focus. Trinity triumphed 7-5 over the home side St Joseph’s in a nail-biting match before comfortably defeating Seaford 20-0 in the final to lift the Plate.

Fourth Year and team captain Sam D reflected on the experience at the time, saying, “We were really pleased to win the Plate. We were a bit disappointed to lose to Northampton yesterday, but we were keen to come out today and put on a good performance, so we are really happy. Hopefully, we can use this as a springboard for the rest of the season.”

U15A Coach Mr Beresford-Miller praised the boys’ efforts: “The boys worked so hard for these two days, so it was really well deserved. It is quite a demanding two days, but I am really happy with the performances. Winning the Plate is a bonus really – the quality and standard of rugby across the two days was brilliant!”

It was fantastic that all matches were live streamed on the NextGenLive YouTube channel, giving the boys an unforgettable experience and a chance to share their achievements with family and friends.
