Our U15 rugby team secured an outstanding win in the School’s National Plate Rugby final yesterday.
With a fantastic score of 45-5 against Hymers College, the team gave a fantastic performance in a very exciting match held at Sixways Stadium.
Our Director of Rugby, Ian Kench, said: “This U15 side have worked incredibly hard to improve as a team and have shown great character and resilience on their journey this season to win the National Plate. All of the staff involved in helping their boys to pursue this opportunity deserve full thanks, in particular the U15A coaches Mr Beresford-Miller and Mr R Powell. I am incredibly excited to see these boys progress in the coming years and push for another national title at 1st XV level.”
The team were supported by fellow students both at the match and live-streamed in our Concert Hall at lunchtime. Trinity student Khalil Alleyn was named ‘Man of the Match’.
The game can be still be watched on YouTube. You can also read the full match report on the Fifteen Rugby website.
Congratulations to all involved!
