Our U15, U18 Boys and Girls Water Polo teams have all qualified for the ESSA (English Schools Swimming Association) National finals.

Last week we reported on the U18 boys qualifying, this week our U15s qualified following three wins last night at Whitgift;

Trinity 10-2 St Paul’s
Trinity 6-2 Whitgift
Trinity 6-4 Dulwich College

The boys played superbly against St Paul’s & Whitgift. The team has strengthened in recent years with the introduction and development of players like Pierre Rivet (Second Year) & Aarav Ganguli (Third Year), so we head to Northampton full of confidence.

Special mention to Eddie Newbold (Third Year) who was drafted in as a last minute replacement. Eddie’s distribution was first class and meant we scored several of goals on counter attack (1V0 or 2V1).

Our U18 girls squad of 12 (including 6 new caps from the Lower Sixth) performed well to defeat Notting Hill (6-0) and then Old Palace (6-1). Unfortunately a loss to Alleyns (5-0) meant we qualified for the finals in Northampton as runners up. Sarah Rogers and Imogen Smith were outstanding, it was also great to see goals from new players Stella Fisher and Georgie Gill.

Well done to all teams, we wish them luck in the finals which take place throughout March.
