Last week, we were delighted to welcome back representatives from some of the leading international universities to speak to our students about opportunities to study abroad.  This included the leading business, hospitality, technology and design institutes from across the USA, Europe and Asia.

The Overseas University Fair event was held in partnership with University Guys,  independent specialists who support students in exploring, preparing for and applying to universities all over the world.

Building on the success of the last two years, we entertained Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Form students and parents. We also extended an invitation to our neighbours Whitgift, Royal Russell and Eltham College who were keen to send groups of interested students.

Attendees were especially intrigued by Minerva University, which has been voted the most innovative university in the world for three years, where students learn ‘actively’ during online seminars and move around the world to study. Istituto Europeo di Design, the ‘centre for fashion, art and design in Italy’ was also a popular destination; here you can study for two years in Milan before moving to Sao Paulo in the final year.

There was a real buzz in the hall, with exhibitors commenting on both the impressive numbers and the enthusiasm of the attendees.

Each year, a handful of Trinity students take up places at international universities. This year, two 2024 leavers went abroad with one student heading to the University of Ottawa in Canada to study Civil Engineering, and another student to ESSEC, the world-renowned business school in France.

Last year, we welcomed back alumnus Tom Mogford (Class of 2021) to tell students about studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, inspiring everyone with tales of daily skiing before lectures.
