We’re delighted to announce that applications are now open for September 2027 entry to Trinity School – a landmark moment as we begin our transition to full co-education.
From September 2027, we’ll welcome girls into Year 6 (10+), Year 7 (11+) and Sixth Form (16+), building on 15 years of successfully educating boys and girls together in our thriving Sixth Form. Boys can continue to apply for Year 6, Year 7, Year 9 (13+) and Sixth Form, with 13+ remaining a boys’ entry point until our phased transition reaches that year group in 2029.
Applications for all 2027 entry points are now open and close in October 2026.
Welcoming girls into our younger year groups is an exciting new chapter for Trinity, but it is built on strong foundations.
Since 2011, our Sixth Form has been proudly co-educational, with boys and girls learning alongside one another in an ambitious, supportive and inclusive environment. As we extend co-education across the School, we’re building on the experience, expertise and community we’ve developed over the past 15 years.
Our transition has been carefully planned to ensure every student benefits from the exceptional education, opportunities and pastoral care for which Trinity is known.
As our community grows, we’re investing in the future of Trinity through an exciting £40 million programme of improvements to our campus and facilities.
Set within 27 acres of beautiful grounds in Shirley, Croydon, we already have outstanding facilities for learning, sport, music, drama, art and design technology. This investment will allow us to enhance and expand those facilities over the coming years, ensuring every student continues to benefit from an exceptional learning environment.

Trinity School is proud to be recognised as one of London’s leading independent day schools. Named among the Sunday Times Top 20 London independent schools, we combine excellent academic outcomes with exceptional opportunities beyond the classroom.
Our students enjoy more than 350 clubs and societies, outstanding provision in sport, music, drama, art and design technology, and a warm, inclusive community that was recognised in our latest Independent Schools Inspectorate Report as a significant strength.
Every young person is known as an individual, encouraged to discover their strengths and supported to develop the confidence, character and values to flourish both at school and beyond.
Families join us from across Croydon, Bromley, Surrey, south east London and south west London, with excellent public transport links (bus, tram and train) making Trinity an accessible choice for families across the region.
Mr Kennedy, Trinity School Headmaster, says, “We’re really excited about this change for the School, we’ve had girls in the Sixth Form for 15 years, it’s been a brilliant experience for both our boys and girls. We can’t wait to extend this down the school. We’d love you to come and see our facilities and the kind of opportunities that young people have here, bookings for both Open Day and weekday tours are open and we look forward to welcoming you soon.”
Applications are now open for:
Our phased approach means that girls joining Year 6 and Year 7 in 2027 will progress through the School together, with additional year groups becoming co-educational each year.

The best way to discover Trinity is to experience it for yourself.
Our Whole School Open Day takes place on Saturday 3 October, when you’ll have the opportunity to explore the school, meet students and staff, hear from the Headmaster and discover more about life at Trinity.
We also offer small-group weekday tours throughout the autumn term, giving families the chance to see the School on a normal working day and ask questions about admissions, our transition to full co-education and what makes Trinity such a special place to learn.
If you’re considering an independent education for your child, we’d love to welcome you to Trinity.
You can find out more about our transition to full co-education, including our timeline, frequently asked questions and admissions process, on our dedicated Co-education page. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our admissions events soon.
