The final consisted of arguably four of the best schools for water polo in this age group – Dulwich College, Habs Boys, Northampton School for Boys and Trinity – so was a tense competition.
The final results were:
Mr King, Director of Sport says, “The most valuable player and top goal scorer of the tournament was Fifth Year Will. He is a superb defender, working extremely hard for the team and his outside shooting was exceptional. Special mention also goes to Jasen, who is developing into a superb centre back, which enables the team to play man-to-man press in defence, making it extremely difficult for our opposition to move the ball and create high percentage shooting opportunities.
“I am extremely proud that this is our 11th Schools Title in the last decade. During that same period, we’ve won 10 ESSA Water Polo National titles. Next week, we have the U18 Schools League Final to play at home and both the ESSA U13 and U18 competitions to come.”
…
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for our U15 Water Polo team who narrowly missed out on qualifying for the ESSA National Final this year after a win, a draw and a loss at Tuesday’s semi-final.
