The first Sports Players of the Month for the new school year have been selected by the Sports Department. Students are nominated for a variety of reasons, and not always performance related. We’re looking for leaders who embody Trinity Sport’s values: kindness, perseverance, collaboration, competitiveness, and dedication.

For the month of September, the two individuals who have been awarded the title are Lower Sixth student Isabelle and Third Year Jacob.

Mr King, Director of Sport, explains the recognition: “Isabelle was unanimously chosen by the department as our Sportswoman of the Month for September. Despite only joining us a few weeks ago, Isabelle has fully immersed herself into sport at Trinity, with excellent performances to date in hockey and at the ESSA swimming qualifiers last week.

“It has also been brilliant to see Isabelle’s efforts in driving other students to give water polo a try, which resulted in our first girls’ session earlier this week. Thank you and well done.”

Mr King continues, “Jacob was also unanimously chosen as our Sportsman of the Month. This is deserved recognition following his impressive performances in both rugby and indoor hockey to date. Jacob puts in enormous effort and has a fantastic attitude, listens carefully and takes on feedback, which was highlighted by many staff. This undoubtedly has contributed to his rapid progress and development in sport over the last period. Well done and keep it up!”

Both students receive a blue Nike t-shirt to keep which has Sports Player of the Month on the back. Congratulations!
