Public Health England has launched the next phase of its ‘Better Health – Every Mind Matters’ campaign, designed to support children and young people’s mental wellbeing.
It recognises that the past few months have been hard on everyone, including children and young people. As a group, young people are currently reporting higher levels of stress and anxiety than the adult population, and many parents and carers are concerned.
The campaign will be aimed at parents, carers, teachers and young people themselves, and will be delivered in partnership with the NHS and the nation’s leading mental health and children’s charities. The Better Health – Every Mind Matters website offers new NHS-approved tips and advice on supporting the mental wellbeing of children and young people.
Tips include talking about feelings, helping children and young people to manage unhelpful thoughts, and encouraging their interests.
