We are delighted to introduce Alex Blake, who joins us this term as our new Cricket Professional. Alex brings a wealth of experience, having recently retired from professional cricket after an impressive 17-year career with Kent County Cricket Club. During his time with Kent, he played 47 First-Class matches and over 150 T20 games.
Alex is currently the 1st team captain at Hayes CC in the Kent Premier League and is a well-known figure in the local cricket community. Many of our students and parents will already be familiar with him through his exceptional coaching work in the area.
In addition to leading the Kent District programme – of which many of our students are a part of – Alex also runs his own coaching business, GRIT Sport. We are excited to have him as a central part of our cricket programme this term and beyond and we are confident that students will gain immensely from his knowledge and passion for the game.

The cricket season has already got off to a brilliant start, with the Girls’ 1st XI enjoying a 21-run victory over Langley, despite sweltering conditions.
In the last week, there have also been cup victories for the U13A, U13B and U17A teams who have all successfully made it into the second round of their cup competitions. On Saturday, we played Epsom in our block and there were great results for all the U12 and U13 teams as well as some standout individual performances. Fourth Year George shone for the U15B’s scoring 52 not out and taking 3 wickets, First Year Aarush took 3 wickets and scored 31 in the U12A game and Third Year Oliver batted brilliantly for his 40 in the U14C match.
