The return of the Mob Runs this September was a historic moment: for the first time in over 35 years, the races formed part of a House competition. Following the relaunch of our historic House system, the Mob Runs gave students their very first opportunity to score points for their newly appointed Houses.

The Mob Runs are a much-loved Trinity tradition and one of the most inclusive and supportive events in our sporting calendar. Every student takes part, whether running at the front of the pack or cheering friends along from within it. It doesn’t matter where students place, participation is key and students enjoy seeing if they can improve year-on-year.

Our Upper School athletes once again acted as ‘hares’, setting the pace for the younger year groups (and helping guide a slightly different route this year), while teachers, parents and siblings joined the crowds to lend their support.

With courses ranging from 1.5 to 3km, students showed determination, camaraderie, and plenty of House spirit. We enjoyed seeing some teachers lending their support by running alongside their form or year group. Individual medals were awarded across the Junior, First, Second and Third Years – but, most importantly, every runner contributed vital points to their House. The House points are being calculated, so look out for updates later this term.
