Last Friday, Trinity School’s grounds were transformed into a rainbow spectacle as more than 150 students, staff and parents took part in the biennial Colour Rush charity fun run. Blessed with glorious sunshine, runners completed two laps of the school grounds while being showered with clouds of brightly coloured powder paint.

The event was a true community celebration. Teachers, students and parent-helpers manned paint-throwing stations and after running through sprinklers, no runner finished the course without a rainbow coating. Even the Headmaster joined in, though sharp-eyed students noticed he may have found a shortcut past the messiest paint stations!
Alongside the fun, a serious fundraising effort was under way. We raised around £500 for Just Like Us, a charity supporting LGBTQ+ young people. Claire Burrage, Head of Community Action, said, “The Colour Rush is always a highlight of our fundraising calendar, bringing people together in the most joyful way. We are delighted to have raised around £500 for Just Like Us, and it’s brilliant to see the whole Trinity community getting involved.”

Whilst clouds of coloured paint filled the air, the 1st rugby tams were warming up on the pitches ahead of competitive fixtures against Langley, with paint-fuelled runners dodging the gathering crowds.
The afternoon finished with refreshments for all participants, providing a welcome pause after so much fun, colour and cloud-filled chaos.
Thanks to all staff, students and parents for supporting this brilliant event and managing the inevitable wash loads afterwards!
