Trinity’s annual Charity Golf Day brought together parents, alumni, staff and friends of the school for a memorable day of sport, community and fundraising, raising an impressive £5,000 for the Trinity Bursary Fund.
Seventy-two golfers took to the course in warm spring sunshine for a day that combined friendly competition with a shared commitment to widening access to a Trinity education. They enjoyed a relaxed and sociable day, with plenty of birdies, pars and near misses in the hole-in-one challenge. Connor White claimed the individual title, while a team of Trinity alumni featuring Nick Ramdas, Joe Baulf, Lawrence Samuel and Adam Sandhu took home the team prize – well done!

The day concluded with dinner and speeches, where guests heard from former bursary recipients Nick and Dan Thompson (Trinity 2008-2015). Reflecting on their time at Trinity and the opportunities made possible through bursary support, they spoke movingly about the lasting impact of the school’s commitment to social mobility and opportunity.
Now both working in the City following studies at LSE and UCL, the brothers highlighted the value of a diverse educational environment and the importance of ensuring future generations of students can benefit from the same opportunities.
Director of Development Jason Court said: “It is always a brilliant occasion when we bring parents, alumni, staff and sponsors together for our Charity Golf Day. Hearing from Nick and Dan Thompson really brought the purpose of the day home. They perfectly captured the welcoming, social spirit of Trinity, which inspires our community to pay it forward.”
Reflecting on the event, Trinity parent Barney said: “A good time had by all. Having those impressive young men speak at dinner was really great. It reinforced the values that make Trinity special and reminded everyone how important it is to support the Bursary Fund.”
Thank you to everyone who took part, donated prizes or sponsored the event.
Special thanks go to Trinity archivist and alumnus Laurie King, who played a central role in organising the event. Over many months, Laurie worked tirelessly to secure raffle and auction prizes, coordinate supporters and help bring the day together. On the day itself, he could be found everywhere from the registration desk to the scorecards, and even behind the ever-popular ‘Tuck Shop Buggy’.
