This year’s Whole School Open Day is an exciting opportunity to discover Trinity as we prepare for our next chapter.
On Saturday 3 October, we’ll be opening our doors to families considering 10+, 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry. As we prepare to welcome girls into Year 6 and Year 7 from September 2027 for the first time, it’s also the perfect opportunity to find out more about our transition to full co-education, hear about our plans for the future and experience the warm, inclusive community that has been at the heart of Trinity for generations.
Whether you’re looking for an independent school for your son or daughter, exploring co-educational schools in South London or simply starting your school search, we’d love to welcome you to our beautiful 27-acre site in Shirley, Croydon.
A website can tell you about exam results, facilities and opportunities. Visiting a school helps you understand something much more important – what it feels like to be there.
At Trinity, you’ll see students learning together, be able to talk to teachers, meet current students and experience the atmosphere that makes our School such a special place to learn.
As one family told us after last year’s Open Day:
“The thing we were most impressed by was how welcome we felt by absolutely everyone. We were greeted upon entry, walking through corridors and when entering classrooms. This made us all feel completely at ease.”
Open Day runs from 8.45am until 1.00pm and is designed to give every family a personalised experience.
After arriving, you’ll be welcomed by members of our Senior Leadership Team, prefects and student ambassadors before being paired with a student tour guide. They’ll tailor your visit around your interests, whether you’d like to spend more time in science, music, sport, drama, art, design technology or another department – or just see it all!
Throughout the morning, every department will be open with interactive demonstrations, opportunities to speak to teachers and students, and plenty of chances for your child to get involved.
You’ll also be able to meet our admissions, pastoral, SEND, digital learning, scholarship and alumni teams, so whatever questions you have, there’ll be someone to answer them.
Mr Kennedy, our Headmaster, will give a series of talks throughout the morning, sharing what makes Trinity distinctive, our vision for the future and what families can expect from a Trinity education.
Families interested in Year 6 and Year 7 can also attend a dedicated Lower School talk, while those considering Sixth Form can hear about the outstanding opportunities available beyond Year 11. You can select your preferred talks when booking your place at Open Day via this page.
This year’s talks will also explain our transition to full co-education. Building on 15 years of successful co-education in the Sixth Form, we’ll share how we’re preparing to welcome girls into Year 6 and Year 7 from 2027, alongside our £40 million investment in the School’s facilities as Trinity continues to grow.
Trinity is proud to be recognised as one of the Sunday Times Top 20 London independent schools, combining academic excellence with exceptional opportunities in sport, music, drama, art, design technology and more than 350 clubs and societies.
But what many families remember most is the atmosphere.
After last year’s Open Day, parents described Trinity as: “inclusive…welcoming…grounded…aspirational…kind…a place where students belong”
One parent summed it up perfectly:
“The students were confident but never arrogant – just genuinely enthusiastic and proud of their school.”
Our Whole School Open Day takes place from 8.45am to 1.00pm.
Refreshments will be available throughout the morning. Limited parking is available on site for visitors with accessibility requirements, with additional parking and shuttle buses operating from Sandilands. We also encourage families to use local public transport or park considerately on nearby roads where appropriate.
If you’re considering Trinity for your child, we’d love to welcome you.
After all, as one parent told us…
“It needs to be seen with your own eyes.”
