Trinity Jazz Club

We’re delighted to be once again opening the doors to the Trinity Jazz Club.

Winner of the 2023 Jazz Album of the Year in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Jo Harrop’s latest release was given four stars by the Guardian who described it as “A rare mix of delicacy and boldness – sheer perfection”. The record was Jo Whiley’s BBC Radio Two “Infatuation of the Week” after Iggy Pop hailed her “A very fine jazz singer” on his BBC Radio 6 Music show.

Durham-born vocalist Jo Harrop presents a programme of jazz and blues classics alongside her own expertly crafted compositions. Accompanying Jo will be our Head of Jazz, Rock & Pop, Joe Pettitt with his trio, consisting of some of the finest jazz musicians on the UK scene. Support will be courtesy of Trinity’s Jazz Collective, with students sitting-in throughout the evening.

The evening will be held in the Sixth Form Centre where there will also be a cash bar. Entry is £14.00 for adults and free for Trinity students. Doors open at 6.30pm and the music starts at 7.00pm. We anticipate the evening to finish just before 10.00 pm.
