Get ready to tap your feet as our senior musicians take you on a whirlwind journey through the world of dance! From the elegant sweep of the waltz to the irresistible energy of swing, this year’s Senior Gala Concert celebrates music that makes you want to move.
The evening brings together our finest ensembles: the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Trinity Strings, Chamber Choir, Girls Choir, Barline, Big Band 1, Big Band 2 and the Senior Brass Ensemble.
Highlights include the dazzling rhythms of Bernstein’s West Side Story and his sparkling Overture to Candide, the sweeping drama of Khachaturian’s Masquerade Waltz, and a toe-tapping selection of Big Band classics. Offering a moment of quiet beauty amid the excitement, our singers will perform Amy Beach’s radiant Nunc Dimittis.
