We’re delighted to be once again opening the doors to the Trinity Jazz Club.
Special guests will be Denny Ilett and Rory Ingham.
Rory, jazz trombonist/educator/composer, was the winner of Rising Star in the 2017 British Jazz Awards. Rory was chosen as ‘One To Watch’ in the Shape of Jazz To Come and was a winner of the 2018 British Trombone Society Awards. In 2018, he toured Europe with his quartet playing at many high-profile British jazz festivals/venues (inc. Love Supreme Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Dean St. and Ronnie Scott’s).
Denny is a remarkably versatile and expansive guitarist/singer, encompassing swing, bebop, blues, rock and everything between. He is equally acclaimed for his thrilling guitar playing, smooth vocalising and appearances at Ronnie Scott’s fronting his jazz salute to Jimi Hendrix with the Electric Lady Big Band.
Support will be courtesy of Trinity’s Jazz Collective, with students sitting-in throughout the evening.
The evening will be held in the Sixth Form Centre where there will also be a cash bar. Entry is £15.00 for adults, non Trinity students (U18) £5.00 and free for Trinity students and staff. Doors open at 6.30pm and the music starts at 7.00pm. We anticipate the evening to finish just before 10.00 pm.
