Congratulations to Trinity alumna Kelechi Okeahialam, from the Class of 2015, who has recently been appointed as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager at The Football Association (FA).

After Trinity, Kelechi headed to Oxford University to study for a Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree and her first role after graduating was for the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. This involved developing a communications strategy for the charity with an Inclusion and Diversity focus. She later studied for a Masters in Big Data in Culture and Society from King’s College London while working at Accenture UK.

Throughout her career, Kelechi has led EDI work with both external clients and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver data driven EDI plans policies and strategies. She is excited about her new role at the FA and says, “One of the aims of the FA is to create a game free from discrimination. In my role as EDI Manager, I am responsible for operationalising the FA’s EDI strategy and I am really looking forward to supporting all parts of the organisation to reach its aim.”

We wish Kelechi every success in her new role, and we look forward to witnessing the positive impact she will undoubtedly make.
