Our Futures team offers information, advice and assistance with the selection of universities and courses – both in the UK and abroad – and helps students to identify suitable apprenticeship schemes and prepare for their selection.
We work with students on an individual basis to identify their skills; build a robust CV; complete applications for work placements and apprenticeships; and prepare for interview and assessments. We also run sessions on student finance, scholarships and bursaries, and provide up-to-date information on gap year opportunities.
Head of Sixth Form
Trinity students have the opportunity to meet experienced professionals in a range of careers each year, either at themed Careers Evenings, with several speakers from a particular field, or at more intimate spotlight events. They can ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere, find out what skills are needed to do the job well and identify how to improve their experience and understanding of each career choice. For younger year groups, ideas about their futures are introduced as part of the relevant academic subject.
The Careers site on the school’s virtual learning platform, in combination with the Unifrog service that we subscribe to and regular bulletins sent to students, offer a wealth of information about options post Trinity, building employability skills, potential work experience and preparing for life at university.
