The Trinity Drama department is excited to collaborate with the Music department again following the success of Guys & Dolls last year.
Rehearsals have begun for the up-coming autumn whole school production of the classic musical, Beauty And The Beast. The famous tale of love and redemption will see students from all year groups take to the Trinity Concert Hall stage to bring the story to life in visually exciting ways. The actors are buzzing and the breadth of talent so strong that we are double casting Belle, The Beast and Gaston – each playing two performances.
A bespoke set is being constructed for the event and students will be mentored by professional sound, lighting and costume designers as they work on their technical skills in preparation for running the shows. A visiting choreographer will also focus students on dynamic movement and musical staging.
The Beast (a Prince transformed), is lost to darkness in a mystical castle, destined to live forever with his quirky servants – confined unless he can find someone to love him for who he is. Only then will the spell be broken. One day a kind, imaginative and clever girl, Belle enters his world.
Featuring songs such as ‘Be Our Guest’, ‘Gaston’, ‘Home’, ‘Belle’, ‘Human Again’ and ‘Beauty & The Beast’ – this tale as old as time has something for everyone.
Performances will be held as follows:
