Edward and Alexander Molony, in First and Fourth Year respectively, have both been very busy with voice-over work for some time now.
Edward has been working on the second series of Ricky Zoom, which started airing this summer and is currently showing on Channel 5 and Nick Jr. He was cast as the character of Buster Bunker (the policebike’s grandson) for the first series of Ricky Zoom, when he was seven, and was asked back to reprise the role in series two.
Meanwhile, Alexander co-narrated a series of animated shorts called The Untold Tales of the Eternals for Marvel HQ’s Youtube Channel, to help promote the launch of the new Marvel film, Eternals. Alexander became interested in voice work when he had to provide the voice-over for a commercial that he also was acting in, aged eight. He got into voicing animations, such as Claude and Ooo Ooo in Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, from there. He was in Canada filming the lead role of Peter Pan in Disney’s ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’, a live-action adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale, from January to August this year.
When Edward was old enough, he joined his brother doing voice work and voiced commercials such as the UK dub of a Lego Christmas TV advert. He was cast in the role of Tom, the son of a demon, in the E4/Netflix horror comedy, Crazyhead, and appeared in numerous commercials including Christmas adverts for Quality Street, DFS, TK Maxx and Tesco. Edward also presented short film promotions for Shell at the E-Prix in Berlin and Cricket World Cup/Unicef ‘One Day for Children’, and was delighted when he was chosen to be a Playground Pundit for One Day for Children at the 2019 Cricket World Cup, as he got to introduce the England and Indian captains to the press and interview other famous cricketers, as he loves cricket!
