A huge congratulations to our U15 water polo team who competed in the ESSA National Final this week and were crowned champions!
This is the third U15 national title win since 2019, and the students once again demonstrated their impressive fitness and commitment to working hard as a team.
The competition was held at Northampton School for Boys and saw Trinity come up against six of the best water polo teams in the country.
The team was in Group B which saw them play against St Ambrose, beating them 5-1 and Hab’s Boys, which they won 8-5. This meant that they progressed to the Semi-Final and faced our neighbours Whitgift. On a roll by this point, the team beat Whitgift 7-2 to secure a place in the final against Dulwich College.
Mr King, Head of Aquatics, said, “Lessons were most definitely learned from last week’s Semi-Final, where we lost against Dulwich College, and the boys fully deserved to win the competition. The final score was 5-2 to Trinity.
“Third Year student Kal-El Ntiamoah (playing four years up) was once again in outstanding form. His fitness and willingness to cover and work hard for his teammates is truly exceptional. He is also chipped in with a handful of goals from distance across the tournament.
“Another special mention for Fourth Year Callum Beeney who had the best tournament of his Trinity career. He scored three goals in the Semi-Final and two more in the Final.
“The team were simply superb and thoroughly deserved to win the title. Their approach to training and working as a team is outstanding and we’re very proud of their achievement. Well done boys!”
