Our intrepid team of staff swimmers swam the English Channel this week, raising money for our Trinity Bursary Fund.
Mr Sam Powell, Miss Jenni Snowdon, Mr Ian Kench, Mr Tim Strange and Mr Peter Corish, supported by Mr Nick Evans and Mr Jim Hammond, took on the challenge following our students channel swim last September. The team covered a total of 36 miles during the relay.
The winds and tide worked in their favour and they completed the course in just under 17 hours.
The are raising money for our Trinity Bursary Fund, and hope to raise enough to pay for one student to have a free place at Trinity for one year. So far they have raised £1,900, it’s not too late to donate and show your support to help them reach their target of £5,000.
