Last week, Trinity School celebrated British Science Week with our annual science competition, showcasing over 40 impressive projects on the theme for the week “Change or Adapt.” The judges were faced with a difficult task, as students from all year groups presented creative and scientifically-sound designs.

After careful deliberation, the following winners of the science competition were announced:

First Place: First Year students Hey and Max (pictured left), whose meticulously researched Mars habitat impressed with its attention to the challenges of extraterrestrial survival.

Second Place: Third Year students Abee, Adrian, and Aditya (below), who designed an innovative streetlamp, harnessing wind and solar energy to power homes, and helping to combat climate change.

Third Place: Third Year Josh, whose 3D printed wind tunnel and insightful presentation demonstrated a clear understanding of aerodynamics and drag reduction of modern supercars.

Honorable Mentions: Second Year Xavier, for his detailed poster on car engine designs, and First Year Zarak (below), for his engaging model illustrating the evolution of giraffe necks.

Congratulations to all participants for their hard work and ingenuity! The science competition highlighted the incredible scientific talent within our school.

British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths that is coordinated by the British Science Association and funded by UK Research & Innovation (UKRI). This year, it took place between 7-16 March 2025.
