Looking ahead: Full co-education begins in 2027
Earlier this year, we announced an exciting change: Trinity School will become fully co-educational from September 2027, with girls joining Years 6 and 7 for the first time in our history. This builds on the success of our co-educational Sixth Form (established in 2011) and reflects our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and a future-focused education.
But what does this mean for those applying for 2026?
Boys applying to join at 10+ in 2026 will start in a boys-only cohort, but by the following academic year (2027), they will be in Year 7 as Trinity welcomes its first girls to join them. This means the rest of their journey through the senior school will take place in a co-educational environment.
Boys applying to join at 11+ in 2026 will be part of the final all-boys Year 7 cohort, but will benefit from an increasingly co-educational culture – particularly in the co-curricular life of the school, where cross-year group clubs such as art and music will be mixed and opportunities like the Lower and Middle School drama productions will include boys and girls. Their timetabled lessons, form groups, trips and sport will remain all-boys. This cohort will be joined by girls in the Sixth Form as normal.

New investment, same strong foundations
To support this exciting development, Trinity is investing in new facilities that will benefit all students – from classrooms to co-curricular spaces. Our renowned programmes in music, drama, sport and the creative arts will remain central to school life, now enhanced by the creative and social benefits of a mixed learning environment.
Importantly, while the future is evolving, our values remain constant: we continue to nurture extraordinary young people, offering a supportive and stretching education rooted in character, curiosity and care.

A leading co-educational Sixth Form in South London
Trinity’s Sixth Form, which became successfully co-educational in 2011, has gone from strength to strength. We are proud to offer one of the most dynamic, high-achieving and inclusive Sixth Forms in South London, welcoming both current and new students into a vibrant, academically ambitious, and community-focused environment.
Each year, we welcome around 60 new students into Year 12, many joining us from other schools across London and the South East. Our dedicated induction programme begins in the summer term before enrolment, helping new joiners feel part of the Trinity community from the outset. Events like the Sixth Form quiz night, a welcome dinner, and pre-season sport sessions allow students to build friendships and confidence before lessons even begin.
Trinity’s broad and flexible curriculum includes 30 A Level subjects, complemented by our distinctive Sixth Form Diploma – a framework that encourages both academic depth and the development of key transferable skills such as leadership, creativity, collaboration and communication. This holistic approach prepares students not just for success at school, but for university, apprenticeships, and life beyond.
We are proud of our outstanding results and university destinations:
Trinity offers an environment where academic excellence is matched by a strong co-curricular ethos, with opportunities in music, drama, sport, art and leadership. The mix of current and new students creates a rich, co-educational learning culture that promotes independence, intellectual curiosity and personal growth.

As part of this celebration, we are launching a special fundraising campaign for our Bursary Fund, reinforcing our mission to ensure that a Trinity education remains accessible.
