This year’s Trinity Golf Day saw 65 alumni, parents, staff, and friends enjoy a relaxed (and slightly wet) day of golf at Croham Hurst Golf Club on Wednesday 22 May.
Now a firm date in the school calendar, the event is a wonderful opportunity to get together, participate in a few friendly competitions on the fairway, enjoy dinner and this year, raise money for local charity Lives Not Knives.
During the day, golfers competed for the Individual Stableford Prizes, Team Prize, Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive competitions, with the most fun had during the Long Putt Competition. Held on the hilly and tricky practice green, it was won by Mehul Parekh, the only person to sink his putt.
After dinner, we hosted a charity auction and raffle in aid of Lives Not Knives, a local youth-led charity that works to prevent serious youth violence by offering guidance and support to disadvantaged and ‘at risk’ young people. We were delighted to welcome LNK’s CEO Eliza Rebeiro (pictured) who delivered an impassioned speech to our guests, and are pleased to announced we raised £2.5k for the charity.

Congratulations to all our prize winners including the Individual Winner, Matthew Titchard (from one of our sponsors, Kitlocker), who scored 38 points and also achieved the Longest Drive of the day. Runner Up was Paul Morgan, a guest of another of our sponsors, Cobra Energy. Third place went to Nick Evans who also had a great day by winning two of the Nearest the Pin prizes.
Other Nearest the Pin Winners were Ed Sharples and Martin Stevens.
The Team Winners were Mark Ruth, Rob Lever, Ian and Paul Morgan, representing one of the Cobra Energy Teams, who won by just one point from James Anderson, Matthew Titchard, Nick Giles and Nick Ramdas representing the Kitlocker/Trinity Team.
