A group of students from across the school recently took part in the Stronghold Schools Climbing Competition in Tottenham. The students involved included Fourth Year Elliot Secord, Fifth Years Andrew Ah-Weng and Caden Cheong, and Upper Sixth students Amy Clarke, Joe Cassidy, Samson Terrett and Simran Goel.
Mrs Prestney took the group to the competition and says, “The team did an excellent job against a particularly challenging collection of bouldering climbs, competing against some excellent other schools. Caden Cheong did extremely well, narrowly missing out on third place. It is exciting to see the momentum climbing is taking in school and I’m looking forward to seeing a lot more from the students. There are already two more competitions booked in for this half term, so watch this space!”
See if you can spot the unofficial team mascot (a crocheted ‘Gug’ brought along by Caden) who also managed to complete a climb with Elliot…
