Trinity School has been providing boy singers for operas at Glyndebourne for nearly forty years and it was a great thrill to return there this summer after a Covid-enforced break.
As part of the Glyndebourne Festival 2022, six students from Trinity joined the children’s chorus in Floris Visser’s new production of Puccini’s popular opera La Bohème. Many congratulations to Christopher Bergs, Edi Haka, Sam Jackman, Victor Lanaspre, Albie Leslie, Arlo Murray, Savith Peiris and Luke Thornton for performing so well throughout the summer.
Rehearsals started at the end of April and eighteen performances ran from June through to mid-August. The production was filmed and is showing in selected cinemas around the country from 11 September. Following a short break, the boys will also embark on the Glyndebourne Tour with this production, taking in performances in Milton Keynes, Norwich, Canterbury and Liverpool. We wish them well on the tour.
