We welcomed our new Lower Sixth Form students to Trinity this week, with a hands-on team-building session on their first day as part of their induction programme. Although current and new students have been able to mingle at the pre-Sixth Form Quiz last term, a new joiners’ dinner and preseason training, there is nothing like throwing everyone into group challenges to break the ice!
The aim of the activities was for all Lower Sixth students to get to know each other, form new friendships and challenge their skills. They had to work together in a cohesive and collaborative way, whilst communicating effectively, to achieve the task objective.
We worked with external provider WiseUp, who brought all sorts of activities to the sports field for our students to get involved with. The group came brimming with energy for the new term and great fun was had by all. We are excited to see what else they can bring to Trinity Sixth Form.
New student Lily said, “The teamwork really helped us make connections with different people across the year group.”
Jacob said, “Although I have been at Trinity for a few years now, it was good to mark the start of Sixth Form with an induction. The activities helped me to get to know the new students and start new friendships with existing Trinity boys.”
New student Lillian said, “It was a great bonding experience for us as new students coming in. I am excited to start Sixth Form life and see who else I might meet!”
We wish all new students the very best as they join Trinity School in Croydon, an independent school for boys with a thriving co-educational Sixth Form.
