Second Year student, Alex, has won a silver medal in an international Taekwon-Do competition.
Alex explains: “On the back of achieving my black belt last year, after a long wait due to COVID-19 I competed in ‘The Warrior Open’; a competition with around 1000 competitors from eight different countries. There were 54 competitors in my category, including multiple other black belts. I won the silver medal, narrowly missing out in the final.”
Mr Townsend adds: “Alex has shown how capable he is across the board and to see him win a medal against such strong competition is a superb achievement. It is so fantastic to see the array of out of school activities and interests that my second year tutor group enjoy!”
