Over 500 alumni, parents, students, younger children and current and former staff joined us for our Afternoon of Sport on Saturday here at Trinity School. Whether they were participating or spectating, a great time was had by all.

The upper fields hosted three brilliantly entertaining rugby matches, featuring our outgoing captains Luke Medcraft and James Hammond’s XV winning against our newly-formed 1st XV 25-17, a staff vs Old Mids match and the first game of the season for the Old Mids 1st XV, who played Bec Old Boys. There was some great rugby played “The Staff and Old Mid Whit’s Rugby was better than many an international I have endured …”

The School’s Netball and Football teams displayed their skills in thrilling games, winning 14-10 and 5-1 against Alumni and the Alumni teams were victorious in the Hockey [3-0] and Water Polo [7-5].

Congratulations go to our Top Gun Nabeel Ul-Haq [OT 1993] at our Shooting event on the rifle range.

Younger children enjoyed the bouncy castle, ball pond, penalty shoot-out and table tennis laid out to keep them amused, and the tennis, badminton and squash courts were available for people to come and play.

It was great to see many recent leavers at this event, getting together before going back to university. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and the afternoon culminated with a BBQ, speedily and cheerfully served by our wonderful catering staff.

A wonderful family day out.
