Lockdown Drama opportunities, for everyone!

Co-curricular | 8th January 2021

This half-term, the Drama department is delighted to invite all students the opportunity to get involved in two productions.

The plays will be performed online as rehearsed readings (with scripts in hand) on Wednesday 27 January (Play 1 TBC) and Wednesday 10 February (Play 2 TBC).

A rehearsed reading is a dynamic read-through of a play without set or costume which has been rehearsed by a director to the extent that the actors are fluent in their roles and can play the scenes to a performance standard.

Rehearsals leading up to these dates will be twice a week and the plays will be chosen in consultation with those who wish to take part. To sign up, please go to SOCS/Drama and search for DRAMA READING 1 and/or DRAMA READING 2.  Please do show your interest asap, as rehearsals will begin next week!

Head of Productions, Mr Chambers said, “I look forward to working on these productions, this is a great opportunity for some new faces to get involved too, without the need for learning lines or spending long hours rehearsing!”

Please see the DRAMA pages on FIREFLY for further information or contact Mr. Chambers (csc@trinity.croydon.sch.uk).

There are also some TECHNICAL THEATRE opportunities which can be signed up for on SOCS, offering fun weekly challenges.  Please contact Mr. Adams for further information (mra@trinity.croydon.sch.uk)
