Immediately prior to the half term break, Mr Beresford-Miller and Mrs Fulker set the whole of the Fourth Year a photography competition – challenging students to go outside, to escape their computers and take photographs.
Over 70 students entered the competition with almost 150 photographs being submitted.
“It was so fantastic to see so much enthusiasm,” says Mrs Fulker.
On the winning photo, by Temi Asanbe, she adds, “Temi’s winning photograph received unanimous votes. We all loved the joy in his little brother’s face… We also felt that the photograph entirely encapsulated the fun that many children were having outside in the snow during a time when they have been indoors so much.”
Thank you to the students for their impressive creativity and also to Mathar Mehmood who won third prize and Ayaan Ratnayaka who won second prize.
“It just so happened that the start of the competition coincided with the snow which led to some brilliant photos.”
Mr Beresford-Miller
