Many congratulations to First Year student, Ellis Gates, who has just achieved a distinction in his grade 7 drum kit examination, with a hugely impressive mark of 95/100.
Such an achievement is always worthy of note but it is particularly so on this occasion as the examination had to take place online during the current lockdown.
"Viewers of the summer’s Music Lockdown Series of online concerts will remember Ellis’s excellent and frequent contributions on both the drums and the piano, not least because he brightened everyone’s lives with his selection of costumes, including a fine Darth Vader outfit. Well done again, Ellis!" said Mr Swinson.
