Our Fourth Year Art and Photography students recently explored ‘forces’ found in the natural environment whilst staying at our Boetius Centre in Wales.

They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area, including visiting a quarry, reservoir and Henrhyd Falls, which was the location for a scene in the hit film The Dark Knight Rises.

Students had the chance to develop their understanding of working in their field whilst on location. When asked to summarise their trip in one word, they responded with the following: escape, surprising, refreshing, wild, serene, wet, adventure, picturesque and off grid!

All students showed real appreciation for the beautiful scenery in the Brecon Beacons and have returned to school inspired and eager to begin creating artwork to reflect the skills developed on their trip.
