Our Lower Sixth physicists who competed in this year’s Senior Physics Challenge recently celebrated a superb set of results.
Mr Flanagan, Head of Physics, comments: “Pitted against the best Physicists in the country, nine students achieved bronze awards, eight students gained silver awards and three students – James Burn, Rohan Lall and James Keers – earned themselves gold awards which places them in the top 9% of the best physicists nationally. Many congratulations!”
The BPhO’s Senior Physics Challenge for Year 12 students is an opportunity for students to stretch their problem-solving skills and apply fundamental principles to novel situations. Over 6,000 students take part in the competition each year. The initiative helps to develop confidence in the subject and encourages wider reading and interest in the principles.
