We recently received the results for the six entrants from the First and Second Year who took part in the prestigious UKMT (United Kingdom Mathematics Trust) Junior Mathematical Olympiad during the summer. This is an event designed to challenge the young minds of the top 1,600 mathematicians of their age group.
Huge congratulations go to both Ayan Eswaran and Naku Debebe who achieved Distinctions. To put their results into context, this would place them in the top 200 mathematicians nationally – clearly, a fantastic achievement.
Also, very well done to Caleb Thompson, Aaron George and Isaac Akohene-Voller who achieved Merits for their efforts in the Olympiad.
