Trinity Drama presents Alice

26-27 June, 7.00pm
#

This term, Trinity Drama and the Lower School students present a colourful and engaging production of ‘Alice’, directed by Miss Deas, Teacher of Drama.

The White Rabbit is late for the Duchess. The Cheshire Cat won’t stop grinning. And the Hatter is well, mad! In the middle of it all is Alice – a young person with a vivid imagination and a family life that is less than perfect. Follow Alice as she finds adventure in a topsy turvy world.

In this challenging adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice (performed as twins by James G and Daniel G) find themselves in the confusing and chaotic emotional state of ‘Wonderland’. As they meet Laura Wade’s twist on the beloved characters, they are taught some tough lessons about life, love, and loss, and the strength of asking for help, even when you’re not sure if anyone will answer. Join us for tea, croquet, and (illegal) jam tarts – we’re all mad here!

Taking place in the Mitre Theatre, the set is being designed by our own Mr Hatton and India Day will be working on bespoke projections to bring Alice’s world to life in kaleidoscopic ways. The extended Trinity Drama community will be involved behind-the-scenes to deliver lighting, sound, costumes, hair and make-up, and more.

Tickets for Alice go on sale Friday 23 May at 10am, with half price tickets available if you book during May half term, using the code Flamingo. Don’t miss out!

With many thanks to Second Year student Jamie H for his brilliant poster.
