Extending
co-education

from September 2027

"This is a really exciting new chapter for our school and the wider community"

#
We are excited to announce that we will be extending co-education from our Sixth Form only to students of all ages. We will welcome our first co-educational intake in Year 6 and Year 7 in September 2027 and will be fully co-educational in 2031.

This is a really exciting new chapter for our school and the wider community. Extending our co-education provision reflects our longstanding commitment to nurturing outstanding young people and preparing them for their future. Our aim is to build an even more diverse learning environment that benefits everyone. Our welcoming and inclusive community, excellent teaching and learning, and outstanding co-curricular opportunities puts us in a strong position to make this transition as we expand the school over the next five years.

As we progress towards becoming fully co-educational, we will share updates here. Below are the answers to some questions you may have about this change. As we develop our work programme, you can expect to see a timeline of activity, plans and designs for our new and improved facilities, and progress reports.

Throughout this work, we will continue to provide your child with the very best teaching and development opportunities. If you have any questions about the changes at Trinity School, please get in touch with us via co-education@trinity.croydon.sch.uk.

Trinity's journey
to co-education

Since we announced our plan to move to full
co-education in 2027 earlier this year, work has been going on behind the scenes to lay the foundations for this exciting change.

It’s important to us that this investment strengthens our ethos and benefits all our students – not just by enabling full co-education, but by enhancing the overall experience for everyone.

Our masterplan is currently being developed in collaboration with our architects. However, some early work will take place during the summer break, including:

  • improving and preparing all our changing facilities;
  • re-laying our main hockey astroturf to an elite standard; and
  • transforming our TV studio into a combined sports, dance, and spin studio that students will benefit from next year.

We look forward to sharing more of our plans with you in the autumn term.
