A group of Trinity Sixth Formers have just launched this year’s edition of iThink, an annual student publication which includes a collection of articles written by students from across the school, tackling philosophical issues.
The four student editors all finished their Religious Studies (RS) A Level courses this year, and were regulars at super-curricular societies ThinkSoc and ThinkSoc+, which delve into theology and philosophy topics well beyond the A Level curriculum.
Mrs Beresford-Miller, Head of Religious Studies, said, “I am delighted with the latest edition of iThink magazine, as once again, our students have shown great creativity and depth of thought. This edition, which tackles knowledge, known as epistemology in Philosophy, demonstrates our students’ ability to think in an existential manner. I am delighted with both of our prize winning articles, the Third Year winner coming from Keaden and the FAFY winner from Ethan, both writers to watch out for in the future.
“Our editorial team of Catherine, Ayaan, Thomas and Abi have done a fantastic job in gathering such a wide ranging collection of articles into this edition. We hope you enjoy reading it over the summer.”
As well as prize winning articles from the Middle School, the magazine includes eight articles from Sixth Form RS students, an article from an alumnus Alfie Edwards and also some quotes from students in Junior Philosophy Club on the free will debate.
Well done on a fascinating issue.
