Trinity’s Drama Department is excited to announce that it has secured the rights to perform Shrek The Musical for its Autumn Production this December.

The Music Department will be providing a wonderful orchestra to play the original score and Mr Barlow will be MD.

Meanwhile, the set is to be designed by Mr Adams with professional lighting designer Mr Lindsay to return to Trinity following his work on Joseph…

In order to get ahead, Mr Barlow and Mr Chambers will be holding taster sessions after half term with a view to performing a couple of songs at The Proms in July. Do sign up on SOCS if you would like to take part. Casting will take place in September.

“The overwhelming number of requests from students to produce Shrek The Musical was a factor in this choice. However, having seen it in the West End I was also struck by the joy and invention of the show, and even more so by the themes of inclusivity, diversity and kindness. I am hugely looking forward to directing this ambitious project.”

Mr Chambers, Head of Drama Productions
