Last week, 30 Trinity students delivered a Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Festival and the London Youth Games (LYG) qualifying event for multiple Croydon primary schools on the rugby pitches at Trinity. The young leaders undertook a morning of training with Mrs Long, Teacher of PE and rugby coach, before taking on roles such as team manager, coach, touch judge, time keepers, scorers and match referees for the day.
Twenty-five local primary schools attended the event with St Aidan’s and Selsdon Primary qualifying for the LYG finals – well done to visiting students on wonderful performances.
Our Trinity young leaders were outstanding and helped create a wonderful atmosphere for competitors and spectators. The primary school teachers were incredibly impressed with the maturity and care which our boys showed to the Primary School children and how they completed their roles with such confidence and competency.
