Last week our Classics Society got together to recreate Icarus’ wings.
Icarus, who notoriously flew too close to the sun, used feathers and thread to build his own wings.
The group were tasked with following Ovid’s description of the wings and creating their own.
Our students rose to the challenge and used models and craft materials to attempt their own designs – and had great fun in the process!
