As part of the PSHE curriculum this term, Fourth Year students attended an online Stress and Anger Management Workshop.

This forms part of the Personal Development course, and teachers will continue work on this topic with the boys later this academic year.

Guest speaker Kevin Hayes has been working with others on personal development since 1990, in corporate, academic and health care settings through his business, The Constant Change Company. He has Psychotherapy and NLP training and has been teaching life and learning skills in schools, colleges and universities around the UK since 1995.

The workshop entailed:

  • Practical strategies for keeping safe with regard to the mental and physical effects of life’s stresses
  • Understanding how these can make some people switch off and other feel anger
  • Looking at how to deal with short-term stress which, in turn, will have a positive and mental benefit in future life
  • A focus on personal attitudes and how to change bad habits and replace them with good ones

Kevin has visited Trinity School for the past 15 years and delivered Anti-bullying and Personal Safety workshops to students in the current Fourth Year when they were in the First Year at Trinity School.
