This week we welcomed back Lorin from the Breck Foundation, who discussed online safety with our Third Year students.
The Breck Foundation workshop is an extremely important event for our students each year, as it helps to educate them about online safety, the dangers of gaming and other forms of social media.
Lorin spoke very honestly about the tragic story of her son Breck, a 14 year old boy who loved technology and gaming. Breck was groomed on the internet and sadly murdered in February 2014 by someone he met online. Lorin hopes that her workshop gives pupils a greater awareness of how to stay safe online.
