Our pupils had reason to celebrate today as they received their excellent A Level results.

55 students in the year group achieved all A* or A grades, a record for the school, with 12 students achieving three A*s or better. 87% of all grades achieved were A*, A or B.

The school has also seen one of its best years for university entry, with 94% of students achieving a place at either their firm or insurance choice on results day.

Alasdair Kennedy, Headmaster, said: “These results reflect the hard work of our students and their teachers, as well as the support of their families.  We are very proud of all they have achieved and learnt at Trinity, and they can move on to the next stage of their education with real confidence, not just on the back of these results but because of the values and strength of character they carry with them. We wish them enjoyment and success as they embark on the path they have chosen next, whether that be university, college, or apprenticeship.”

Betty Wood, who got 4 A*s and is going to University of Warwick to study Maths, said: “I’m feeling really good. Trinity was the best decision I made for Sixth Form; I’ve loved it!”

Harry Holland, who is embarking on a four-year oil and gas technical apprenticeship programme, said: “I’m really pleased and looking forward to the challenges to come”.

Funmi Morgan, who has secured her place to study medicine at the University of Leeds, said: “I’m very happy and very excited – it’s been hard work!”

Kiran Pillai, who is going to study Law at the University of Bristol, said: “I’m very, very pleased that I’ve got the grades to go to my first choice university. A Levels were challenging, but I had great support from my teachers and the hard work has paid off!”
