In recent years we have made an appeal for donations for the Homeless Drop-In at the St Mildred’s Centre in Addiscombe.

The Drop-In runs every Sunday throughout the year, and provides somewhere for local homeless and rough sleepers to get a meal, have a shower, and pick up some clean clothes. It additionally offers them a safe place where they are known and respected, and where they can find some stability.

A number of Trinity staff and parents help as volunteers. Despite various pledges to have London free of rough sleepers, numbers at the drop-in increase every year, and they are always in need of more resources. The need is, of course, always particularly great as winter approaches.  If you feel you would like to help, there are various ways in which this could be done:

Clothing Donations: Men’s and women’s – Jumpers, track suit bottoms and tops, jeans, zip up fleeces or similar, jackets/coats, T shirts, hats, belts, trainers, boots, sleeping bags

Toiletries: Individual shower gels, deodorants, shampoo/conditioner, shaving foam, combs

Any donations can be brought to the school office (bagged, please, and labelled St Mildred’s Drop In)

Sunday Volunteers: Sessions run from 12.00-3.00. No particular expertise is required, and volunteers usually come along once a month (or whatever they feel they can manage).  If you would just like to find out a little more at this stage before making any commitment then please contact Mr Timm.

Any form of help would be extremely gratefully received by guests and volunteers alike.
